One of important ceremony in Hindu rituals is Melasti or purification the Pratima (god symbol) and other Hindu Religion symbol at the beach. This Melasti Ceremony is conducted once a year in conjunction with the big Hindu Holiday called Nyepi Day/ silent day. The Melasti event is generally done three-day before Nyepi day or depends to the local custom countryside rule.
Particularly, melasti is a form of religious feast performed by Hindu Balinese in Indonesia as a part of Nyepi or seclusion day ceremony. the event commonly held few days before the Nyepi day on symbolic purpose of purifying the human nature and environment. Melasti generally takes place around February or March each year, after the converse from Balinese calendar. The rituals of melasti are celebrated next to the water reserves or beaches, regarding the water as a symbol to wash away human sins and nature’s imbalance.
At the (time) of Nyepi day, entire/all people hindu will experience the Brata Panyepian (Abstention of Feast Day Of Ramadan Nyepi) that is Amai Geni is may not fire the fire, Amai Krya is may not work the, Amai Lelanguan is may not travel and Amai Lelungan [is] may not voice to ossify.
